“I can’t accept you for being transgender, the bible says it’s a sin.”

Galatians 3:28
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Does it say that? Does it really?

Damn son even the bible isn’t transphobic, how about that

The Bible isn’t transphobic, but please bear in mind the context of that verse.

Here’s the surrounding verses:

23Before the way of faith in Christ was available to us, we were placed under guard by the law. We were kept in protective custody, so to speak, until the way of faith was revealed.

24 Let me put it another way. The law was our guardian until Christ came; it protected us until we could be made right with God through faith. 25 And now that the way of faith has come, we no longer need the law as our guardian.

26 For you are all children[m] of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes.[n]28 There is no longer Jew or Gentile,[o] slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children[p] of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.

- Galatians 3:23-29

This bit of the Bible is written by Paul, which is in the New Testament. It’s a letter at his basics giving advice about the Christian life and how to live for Jesus.

This verse is not about transgenderism exclusively, but it’s a reminder that in the eyes of God, if you’ve made a decision to believe in and trust him, everyone belongs. God loves in equality.

Bear in mind that there are other verses that can be used in the argument of sex and gender identity, but as a Christian, I can indeed say you ain’t wrong. God loves unconditionally. There is no latter or better worth variant on identity or status or anything. In the Bible people were originally separated by law and rules that caused for groups to be called inferior. But that’s in the past.

Christians: don’t be hateful. don’t be phobic. Jesus never said that was right. He didn’t die for that.

Anyone else: Just remember that sometimes there are valid reasons why people have different belief systems to you. And there’s always more to a reference, whether it’s good or bad initially.
